DAAD: Requesting the Restoration of Your Driving Privileges

Has your license been revoked for multiple substance abuse violations and the minimum one-year or five year revocation period will soon be over?

If so, you may be eligible to request a license restoration hearing before the Driver Assessment Appeal Division (DAAD). Although it is possible to prepare for the hearing and present your case to the hearing officer without an attorney, having experienced counsel guide you through the process will greatly increase your chance of success. Since a denial after hearing usually requires a one year wait before you can apply to the DAAD again, most applicants will benefit from the assistance of counsel. I have over 15 years of experience with conducting successful DAAD hearings. I can assist you in preparing the evidence and presenting your case to the DAAD hearing officer to prove that your substance abuse problem is resolved and you should have your license restored.

If your minimum revocation period has expired or is close to expiring and you have adopted an alcohol/substance-free lifestyle, contact my office for assistance with beginning the DAAD hearing process. Driving on a suspended or revoked license can result in another criminal charge against you and an additional term of suspension being added to the original suspension/revocation period. Your eligibility date for a hearing before the DAAD will be extended further out by the secretary of state every time you are caught driving on a revoked or suspended license.

Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your options if you are considering requesting a DAAD license restoration hearing.
